COMPANY ACTIVITIES
In car body repair workshops infra-red drying is already the
present and is definitely the future for vehicle painting.
Today it is difficult to find a car body shop that does not
have at least one infra-red panel for drying painted parts.
There are problems regarding time, environment and new paint
products that have led to the necessity of an ever
increasing use of the infra-red drying technique.
The objectives we aim at in the making of our ATON drying
systems are the following:
A. To take advantage of new mechanical,
electromechanical, electronic and software technology to be
able to obtain the best exposure position for the piece to
be dried, bearing in mind the principle that “the area upon
which radiation is distributed depends on the square of the
distance from the source”, i.e. if for example the distance
from the source doubles, the intensity of irradiation, and
thus heat transmitted will be a quarter. The high technology
we adopt allows us always to have the right panel in the
right place at the right time.
B. To make it as simple to use as possible for the
operator programming the Robot with the latest touch screen
computer technology.
The antistatic devices have been used by many firms which,
thanks to the elimination of electrostatic charges, have
been able to solve problems caused by rubbing between solid
surfaces and gases in movement (for example air).
Car body shop workers know that paint does not attach to
electrically charged surfaces, particularly to plastic. The
problem can be solved by passing the cloth attached to the
IONITEC antistatic glove system over these charged surfaces.
Doing so both the cause and the effect of the problem are
eliminated, which are:
- total reduction of surface charges
- removal of surface dust
Surfaces treated in this way are ideal for uniform painting
and optimal for the effects of shading.
